Recently, I learned I’ll need major foot surgery in the coming year, bone fusion to fix a past operation that didn’t heal quite right. Until then, I’m on strict orders to avoid too much walking and lose 60 pounds to improve the outcome.
Still, I’m moving forward. I’m in the middle of applying to McGill University in Canada, and I’m not letting surgery, setbacks, or stress stop me.
If you’re curious about my journey through recovery, relocation, and life with Melmoth and Sebastian, stick around.
Hi!
Hi, I’m Ana Bronx-based, tea-loving, and currently outnumbered by two cats. There’s Sebastian, a spirited 1.5-year-old I recently adopted (he came with a “behavior warning” of three strikes and two lightning bolts, but honestly? He’s just wildly playful). Then there’s Melmoth, my 3.5-year-old who used to be the solo whirlwind until his new little brother showed up. He wasn’t thrilled at first, but after three days of hissing, on day four, I found them playing under the door. On day five, I opened the door, and they had started playing tag.
